Deuces 2018!

It’s been a minute, but have no worries, I haven’t gone anywhere, just taking care of some very real issues in my life.

This has been an interesting journey for me and it's far from over.

I’m in financial hardship, but at the same time really at peace in a lot of different ways.

Materialistic, superficial things have dropped right off my radar and it feels really good not to care about getting new clothes, shoes, and stuff that I really don’t need!

However, scrambling to pay your bills when you are a whole adult and trying to stay positive at the same time is fucking hard. At first, I was managing, but almost six months into unemployment, it's getting to be a real challenge more and more every day. But again, I’m managing. I have a strong support system via my husband and children.

This time away from the hustle and bustle of daily commuting is another thing that feels really good, getting to spend more time with my little ones and I’ve been able to write more and re-visit African traditional spirituality (will talk more about this in another post).

Honestly, it seems like everyone I know has had a trying 2018 and is very anxious for the renewed energy of a brand new year just as I am.

As we walk out of 2018 into 2019 let us give thanks and praise that we made it! LOL
